Overview
Light & Wonder is a case study given out by Oaktree's Global Opportunities fund.
This case is designed to replicate one of the responsibilities an associate at the firm would have - evaluating new investment ideas and identifying the most attractive part of the capital structure to invest in.
What makes Light & Wonder a challenging case study is (i) the high technical knowledge required (full quarterly three statement model, capital structure spread, liquidity calculation, etc.) and (ii) understanding and articulating the various risk/reward dynamics of various debt securities.
