SwirlTV is a case study given out by Virgo Investment Group, a multi-strategy investment firm that has raised $1.6 billion in capital commitments and whose growth equity division focuses on investments in healthcare and media.

While the case study covers the traditional tasks of having you build out a financial model that includes a liquidation preference, what makes it challenging is Virgo's request for analysis on if it should or shouldn't participate in a new money investment round that occurs during the projection period. This will require you to create a toggle and illustrate the various % ownership scenarios that Virgo could have in SwirlTV depending on its decision to either participate or not participate in the new money investment round.
